Our SVDP ministry provides assistance to those in need in the Bartow Co community. It has been through your generosity that we are able to serve the needy. Recently we have seen an increase of families and individuals who are struggling to make ends meet. From putting food on the table to providing shelter and electricity for their family, our ministry is working hard to keep up with the assistance.
We recently received a call from a young lady who was in the hospital waiting to have a baby. She was worried because her rent was due in less than a week and her funds were low. Her worry of being evicted with a new baby was real. Having a full-time job but living paycheck to paycheck, the money ran out during maternity leave. She reached out to our parish SVdP ministry looking for assistance. The aid we provided to this single new mom would not have happened without your support.
As prices rise, so has our need of monetary and food donations to serve our clients. We continue to accept nonperishable food items at each mass along with our monthly envelope donation and online giving located on the church website under SVdP.
If you know of anyone in need, please refer them to the St Francis of Assisi SVdP ministry at [email protected].
Thank you for serving Jesus through our neighbors.
