** Please Note Early deadlines **
Please fill out the form on this page every time you would like something advertised on the St. Francis of Assisi Cartersville media platforms. It is best to submit requests one month prior to the date of your event so that the request can be approved and designs made in time for advertisement!
Please note that the bulletin deadline for items to be submitted for publication is one week prior to the Sunday bulletin you would like advertisement in.
This deadline is subject to change due to holidays and amended deadlines will be noted below.
The Office of Communications can advertise for parish and community events in the following ways. Please make sure to read each description to ensure that your event will be approved for each method of communication.
Bulletin: Bulletin requests must be received one month prior to your event and will be published in the two weekend bulletins prior to the date of your event. Space is limited and the office of communications reserves the right to reduce the word count appropriately based on the description provided. Priority is given first to parish events, then archdiocesan ones, then community ones.
Social Media: Currently, Facebook and Instagram are used to communicate parish events to our parishioners online. Links to more information are encouraged. Social Media content is posted on our feed one week prior to the event as well as posted in our "stories" 24 hours prior to the start of the event. Given enough time, addition posts may be made.
Facebook Event: Facebook allows events to be created and shared to give parishioners additional information about specific events that have a lot of information to share (ie: retreats, annual events, fundraisers, etc.). Creating Facebook events will allow parishioners to "rsvp" for reminders and notifications about the event. Facebook events are only created for events on campus or sponsored by a parish ministry. Facebook events will be created no earlier than one month ahead of the event and will be shared on our main page leading up to the event.
STFAC Website: Upcoming Events will be added to the website no earlier than one month ahead of the event and will be shared on our main page leading up to the event. There is a limit to the number of events highlighted on our website (typically 4 at a time) and will be listed in chronological order according to the event date.
Weekly eBuzz Newsletter: Our weekly email newsletter goes out to parishioners every Wednesday morning. Events occurring in the upcoming month will be given space in the eBuzz, with priority going to events happening in the upcoming week.
TV Monitors: TV Monitors display advertisements in the parish office as well as the Narthex for events coming up with a two-week frame. TV Monitors are updated each week prior to the weekend Masses. Information on the screens is limited to basic event information including, but not limited to: event name, events date/time, event contact. If a link is provided for more information, a QR code will be available on the screen.
