In this Jubilee Year of Hope, I am pleased to invite you to a reception for the Our Time to Grow Capital Campaign!
Grateful for all those who have contributed in the past and have blessed us with what we have now, the Campaign Leadership Committee, the Building Committee and I are moving forward with plans to expand our educational facility. At these receptions, we will share with you the plans in greater detail and the part you can play in making our vision a reality. As good stewards of our blessings, together we can provide for our parish. These gatherings are informal and social, and will provide a wonderful opportunity for us to meet as a parish family. We would greatly appreciate your acceptance of this invitation, and look forward to greeting you personally. Our goal is a challenging one and it is imperative that we all participate in this undertaking, so I ask you to please join us.
Grace to you and peace! With thanks to God for His many blessings, with joy I share with you an important step in the journey of our beloved parish, St. Francis of Assisi.
As we continue to grow as a vibrant community of faith, it has become clear that we must take action to ensure our facilities support the flourishing of our ministries, the formation of our children, and the needs of all who call this parish home.
In my time here, I have witnessed extraordinary growth. Over 400 new families have joined our parish in just two years. Our Faith Formation program has nearly doubled in size, growing from 238 to 443 children. We are blessed to have more than 30 active ministries serving the spiritual and social needs of our parishioners and the broader community. At Mass, it brings me great joy to see our sanctuary and La Salette Hall filled with the faithful.
However, with these blessings comes the challenge of ensuring that our facilities meet our present and future needs. The Building Committee has carefully revised our Master Plan to address these pressing needs. Together, we have discerned that the next essential step is the construction of a new classroom building. This project will provide 12 additional classrooms, spacious rooms on the ground floor for large gatherings and standard sized classrooms above for Faith Formation, ministry meetings, and adult education. Strategically located to preserve our existing parking and connected to our current facilities, this addition is designed to serve our growing community while being cost-effective.This project represents not merely a physical expansion but an investment in the spiritual and communal life of St. Francis of Assisi.
As we embark on this journey, I invite each of you to join me in prayer and discernment. This effort cannot succeed without the shared commitment of our entire parish family. Together, with faith and dedication, we can build a foundation that will serve generations to come. Your participation and sacrifice are vital to the success of this endeavor. With God’s grace and your support, we can take this next step in our journey as a parish, ensuring that St. Francis continues to be a place where we live the Gospel in our daily lives, observe Church teachings, value our community and evangelize our Catholic faith.
Peace and all good things,
Fr. Kevin Hargaden
pastor
The proposed project aims to address the growing needs of St. Francis parish by expanding its facilities. The plan includes constructing a new classroom building as the first step in a larger master plan. This addition will provide 12 more classrooms to accommodate the increasing demand for space for Faith Formation programs, adult education, and various ministry meetings. The ground floor will feature larger rooms for bigger groups and special events, while the upper floor will have standard-sized classrooms.
The new building will be strategically placed to maximize efficiency, preserve existing parking, and maintain connectivity with the current classroom building.
This $3 million expansion is designed to be a cost-effective solution to the parish’s immediate space constraints, with the intention of implementing further expansions in stages as funds become available.
PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT HAPPEN
We would not have come this far in our campaign without the assistance of a special group of dedicated people.
Special thanks to our Parish Staff and our dedicated Campaign Volunteers.
THANK YOU!
